My first DIY project!

Last week (with the help of my awesome mother) I re-did the seat the goes in the swing we got from Tony's Brother and Sister-in-law for baby. I wanted something more modern and more my style. The teddy bears just weren't my thing I guess. So without a pattern, my mom helped me figure out how to make a new one. I sewed most of it myself! I was pretty proud of myself even if it's not perfect! Here is the before and after pics...

As you can see I still have to fix the left side, I didn't quite get the elastic latch long enough.

Also I am now 36 1/2 weeks! Crazy! I am hoping he comes before Christmas, but we wont know. I will go to the Dr. on Monday, and might have a better idea if he may come early. He has dropped lower and is in position and I have felt a few Braxton Hicks contractions. He still moves like crazy, and I love it! Finally found a car seat and stroller, and I found a crib and changing table and it's sitting in our family room still in the boxes ready to be put together. Other than preparing for baby, Tony and I don't really do much. He is currently working on his real estate license and that takes up a lot of his nights studying, but I don't mind it because it allows me to work on little projects and hopefully when he starts making money it will allow me to stay home with Little Buddy! We do still make time for each other and we think it's important to continue that! We are getting really excited to meet our little guy. Just pray that he comes before Christmas or at least by the New Year!

PS we now have the Monkey tree decal on the wall! It turned out soooooo cute! I was worried that my green wall was going to clash, but it actually turned out really good. Thanks Mom and Rosey for your help in getting it on! We also got everything pretty much ready for carpet, I'm crossing my fingers we get it in this weekend so I can get his room set up.

A green wall!

We finally have the wall painted! Only 1 coat, we hope to get two more on tonight! Last night we ripped the old carpet out and took off the rest of the old base board and I pulled up all the staples from the carpet being installed while Tony painted the wall. I love the color! I wasn't too sure of it at first because it's really BRIGHT GREEN but it will look really good with the brown carpet we bought and the tree me and my mom will paint on the wall. I cannot wait to finish it! I'm crossing my fingers to have it finished by next weekend, then I can work on finding a crib, changing station and dresser and all the cute decorations I have in mind! I'm almost 34 weeks! 6 more weeks guys! And my little buddy (and Christmas!) will be here! We can't wait. I am hoping to have all my shopping done by the 2nd week in December. I'm still feeling pretty good, just extremely tired! Which I'm getting used to and might as well since I will be the rest of my life now ha ha. And I still have a lot of pain in my ribs and now pelvic pain because he is in position for delivery.

PS
I have a new niece! Isn't she cute?! She was born 1/1/2011 weighing 7lbs 11oz. We will call her Annabella on this blog (per Tony)

FHE Disaster

Last night for FHE (Family Home Evening) we had a lesson on the importance of Faith and Prayer.  I read a talk by President Thomas S. Monson for the  First Presidency Message from March of 2009 Then after our lesson we had a little activity that I had been planning for a while. I bought a Haunted Mansion Gingerbread kit, it came with all the supplies and instructions and you had to build it. It didn't turn out as planned. We got started on it and about halfway through it crumbled to pieces! I was so sad, (literally I was crying, I blame it on the pregnancy) so it didn't turn out as well as I had planned. We just ate a few of the pieces, which were delicious to the point of making us ill, and then we threw it all away. Here are some photos of our disaster. I didn't get any of it halfway built because I wasn't expecting it to break and crumble to the ground.

In other news, we had our Ultrasound last Wednesday and everything looks pretty good. His kidney they were checking is not at 100% like they were hoping, but its functioning really well. They told us that after he is born they will do an ultra sound on him to make sure it is functioning at 100%. He is also in an awkward position with his feet by his eyebrows so we didn't get him to cooperate well and couldn't see his face too much! Little stinker! We did see him stick out his little tongue and he stretched his hand out a little bit. Also we were told he is pretty bald and has fat chubby cheeks! As far as the way I'm feeling, I'm doing pretty good. Still have a bruised rib and still have a lot of pain around my ribs. But other than that I am feeling pretty well. Also we finally picked out some carpet for his Nursery! So I am really excited about getting the paint now and getting it finished! Hopefully within the next 2 weeks we will be finished enough to start purchasing the Nursery necessities. I will post before and after pics when we finish it! Only 60 days until my due date (and Christmas) can't wait!

30 Week pics and Tony's 26th Birthday!

I am now 30 weeks! I remember being in my first trimester thinking that I couldn't wait to hit 30 weeks because it would only mean 10 to go. Now it's here. Crazy! I am feeling pretty great. I am 99% sure I have a bruised right rib. It kills! It's really hard to sleep and I can barely touch it. My ribs are mostly numb all the time so it gets pretty painful at times. I am also experiencing the heartburn, swelling in my feet (another pic below) and an itchy stomach! The best news is that I can drink milk now! Yay! I was so excited. I haven't been able to keep milk, yogurt or eggs down at all! And now I finally can! I missed milk so much, I went from drinking two glasses a day to drinking none. It was so hard. Now I am drinking like five glasses a day and eating cereal like crazy. We have another ultra sound on Wednesday to see if his kidney is fully developed and working correctly now. I am really excited and hope everything goes well. I will update after Wednesday. We went up the canyon again today, we just can't resist the beautiful fall colors. We decided this time to go back to where we got engaged. It's a little hike up to a cute bridge and we took some 30 week photos. It wasn't as colorful up there as we hoped but here are some we got.

My swollen foot after hiking...

Also as promised Tony's 26th Birthday photo's

Also we have one thing ready for our baby boy! Tony's mom made all the stuff for the bassinet. I love it!

Swollen feet!

Hello friends!

I am currently at work and thought I'd share a pic with you of my super attractive foot! It was just fine about an hour and half ago, then I got up to go warm my lunch up and while walking down the hall noticed my left foot was hurting to walk on. I took my shoe off when I got back to my desk and this is what it looks like!

But it will be all worth it when my little Maximus gets here!

29 weeks

I am now 29 weeks! 11 to go! It's so crazy. I am hoping it goes by somewhat fast but not too fast because we still haven't got his room done. It's all cleared out and we are ready to change out the window, then as soon as thats done we can decide whether or not we can do new carpet and base. I am really anxious to get it all finished and set up the crib and other things in the room!

Here is a couple of pics of me at 28 weeks, we went up the canyon last Sunday to take some pictures in the fall leaves. I think they turned out pretty good! We hope to go again and get some more before it snows!

Today we drove the Alpine Loop and took some photos. Tony has become quite the photographer! Here are some of the photos we took today.

Below is my favorite!

Also today is Tony's 26th Birthday and I'll post some photo's of that later on in the week! Tony has to change the format on them so that I can put them on here so I'll have to wait until he has some more time! Stay tuned!
