29 weeks

I am now 29 weeks! 11 to go! It's so crazy. I am hoping it goes by somewhat fast but not too fast because we still haven't got his room done. It's all cleared out and we are ready to change out the window, then as soon as thats done we can decide whether or not we can do new carpet and base. I am really anxious to get it all finished and set up the crib and other things in the room!

Here is a couple of pics of me at 28 weeks, we went up the canyon last Sunday to take some pictures in the fall leaves. I think they turned out pretty good! We hope to go again and get some more before it snows!

Today we drove the Alpine Loop and took some photos. Tony has become quite the photographer! Here are some of the photos we took today.

Below is my favorite!

Also today is Tony's 26th Birthday and I'll post some photo's of that later on in the week! Tony has to change the format on them so that I can put them on here so I'll have to wait until he has some more time! Stay tuned!

It's been a while, but...

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO US!!

I really have no excuse why this blog has been lacking lately except that pregnancy has gotten the best of me! YES! We're expecting! It's a BOY and he is due on Christmas day! Wahoo for us! I am 23 weeks along, so I am in my 2nd trimester and so far it has been way better than my first. I was so sick my first trimester. I actually paid a visit to the ER at week 9 for an IV full of fluids because I literally hadn't kept anything down for over 24 hours. I lost about 8lbs (wish I would have lost more!) I pretty much threw up everyday for 3 months. As soon as I got to my 2nd trimester things slowly started getting better and now that I'm more than half way through it I only have 1-2 days a week where I'm sick. I have had other symptoms such as pain in my legs, charlie horses and migranes but I will take all that over nausea 24/7 and throwing up everyday. Ever since I could feel him moving around it's been surreal. He moves pretty much constantly! He's a little wiggle worm. We had our 20 week ultra sound a couple weeks ago and even the ultrasound tech said he moves more than the average baby! Also everything went well at the ultra sound, he seems to be growing healthily and has all his little fingers and toes! The only thing that he mentioned was that one of his kidneys has not closed off completely (not exactly sure what that means) but he said I will have another ultra sound at 30 weeks and by then it should be fine and not to worry because it is very common in little boys, sometimes it just takes longer but by 30 weeks it should be normal.

We are very excited for our little guy to get here! The day we found out what we were having Tony asked me if we could go to Build-A-Bear and get something for him. It was such a thoughtful and cute idea and I was so excited! So we went and this is what we picked out...

He is so cute and I am so excited to get the nursery done. We have decided to theme the nursery around monkeys! We have also started the remodeling on the basement so we can get my scrapbook room moved downstairs so we can turn my current scrapbook room into the nursery. So far we haven't been too motivated and have been slacking on getting it done. We just finished painting one of the rooms downstairs. It will be a guest bedroom for now. We have a queen sized bed and a bunk beds to put in there and I have decided to also theme this room around all my M&M stuff since I have so much of it and no where to display it! Here are some before pictures of the rooms and as soon as we get them done I will post some after pics. Now that I am feeling better I hope to be better at posting on this blog!

This will be the M&M guest bedroom. It's in the basement.

This will be my office/scrapbook room, this is before I tore the first layer of wallpaper off yesterday! It was awful and took forever!

This is after the first layer of wallpaper, you can kind of tell that the second layer is painted over and that will be my project for next week. Hopefully I'll get it done by Wednesday!

PS
This is my cute almost 1 year old nephew! We went to 7 peaks a couple days ago and wore him right out. He really likes his uncle Tony and almost fell asleep on his arm. I thought this pic was so cute!

Update on the house...

So far we have torn out our master bathroom, and we also tore out a closet in the master bedroom to make it bigger. For some reason it had two and we didn't feel like we needed two. Since tearing out the bathroom we have a new tub, new window, and new tile! Iron Man did the tile for the shower and got it done the other night other than the grout, I think he will be working on that tonight. It looks pretty good and I am very proud of him even though im OCD and got after him about it not being perfectly lined up :) Sorry hunny! It looks awesome! Then Monday night me and my mom painted the first coat of paint in the master bedroom, and on Tuesday I painted the second coat of paint and the first coat of paint on the ceiling. So far it looks 100x better! I'm excited to see it finished. We are painting the back wall in the bedroom black and I haven't started that but am hoping to this weekend. Also I am going to try to get the other bedrooms and hallway painted this weekend too! We'll see.

Last night we went to home depot to buy the tile for the floor, the vanity's and a few extra things we needed, $500 later.... and the cabinets we bought still have to be stained which we haven't bought yet. PS while we were loading all the supplies in the truck, (picture me, at home depot helping carry big cabinets, tile, ect. in high heels and a dress. I'm sure I was laughed at a few times!) I picked up a box of little tiles to frame in the bathroom window, and I bet you can't guess what happened? CRASH! The box was inside another box that had no bottom. I looked at Iron Man expecting to be chewed out in front of everyone else who were loading their supplies. Oh and the whole time we were loading, some Home Depot guy with his orange apron on was watching us while standing around spraying equipment off! He watched me drop the tiles, but saved my life and a later argument because even though Iron Man hadn't chewed me out yet, I knew it was coming, Home Depot guy came over and picked them up and went inside and replaced them FREE! Thank goodness for him! Those tiles (24 of them) were 60 bucks! And 9 of them broke! I felt so stupid. But was glad Iron Man kept his cool and didn't make me feel worse.

It needs a lot of love, but it's ours!

Alright, so here is some pictures of our house. It's a four level split home, with a huge yard, mature tree's, in a great neighborhood! Sorry there are so many! And don't mind the ghettoness of it, we are in the process of remodeling! It's been a lot of hard work so far, but it's also been fun. We are really looking forward to the next few months of remodeling the master bedroom, the kitchen/dining, and the master bathroom. And then Iron Man will probably move in right before we get married and we will continue working on things as we can. We will eventually replace most or all of the carpet, and repaint all the walls. But for right now we are just going to work on getting it more liveable (not that its not liveable now, just not to our liking).
   The Garage (obviously.)
This is looking into the garage as if you were pulling your car in. The door goes out to the backyard, and then to the left of that is a little shed. The garage is HUGE. It's big enough we could probably fit four of my cars inside! Iron Man LOVES this. He can't wait to get toys, and more tools.
Out the garage door into the backyard! We can't wait to clean it up this summer and plant a garden in the back right corner.
The kitchen. We are pretty much going to redo most of this. There is double ovens next to the fridge on the right hand side that are still from the 60's or 70's. And the stovetop is in the middle of the island. So we are thinking about moving the fridge over to where the ovens are, and putting an oven with a stovetop where the fridge is with the microwave above it. We will be leaving all the cuboards, they are oak, so we will just sand them down a bit and refinish them. Then maybe get new countertops, I don't know though we haven't really discussed that but I hope we do because I hate the blue ones. You can't tell from the photo, but they are blue. About the color of this text.
This picture was taken in the front family area, looking at a dining room area. We are actually going to put a wall up right where those handrails are maybe put pocket or french doors in the wall. And then that back wall on the left side of the end of the hall, we are going to see if we can knock out to make the kitchen bigger. The hallway you see has solid oak floors, so we will just refinish that. As for the carpet, I hope to get rid of it asap, but we will probably keep it for a while until we can get everything else done that we want with the money we have.
This is the family area I was talking about before. We will just paint it, and possibly replace the windows and eventually get new carpet.
Half of the Master bedroom. I only have a picture of half of the bedroom right now. There are actually two closets in the bedroom. So we are thinking if it's possible, knock out the closet here, and extend the bathroom. But we will have to see how that goes once we get into tearing out the bathroom. The second door you see goes into the bathroom. Oh and P.S. don't you love the wallpaper?! We are thinking about keeping it...Blech. I've have decided I hate wallpaper. You will see why in some of the last pictures.
This is the hallway out of the Master bedroom. The bathroom door is on the right and there are two smaller bedrooms on the left. One will most likely be used as a nursery, :) down the road and the other will be an office for Iron Man.
Third level, huge family room with fireplace! Love it. Except I don't like that the fireplace is an insert, you can't see it in this picture but its kind of ugly and has an awkward cord for the fan that needs and extention cord to plug in. Kinda ghetto, but maybe we can fix it. I prefer real fireplaces and wish this was one, but I am just happy we have one! We will probably paint the brick again and then redo the carpet and paint the walls. This will most likely be and entertainment room!
Fourth level and bottom floor. This is looking down the hallway. There is an understair storage to the left. Then another storage to the right, and then in the back is a huge bedroom! Probably just use it for a spare bedroom for guests. There is also another bedroom on the other end of the hall that is pretty big too, that I want to use as my craft room! Hopefully Iron man will let me!
This is the storage room on the right side of the above picture.
This is the bedroom at the end of the hall we would use as a spare bedroom.

This is what we have been working on the past few days. My back hurts so bad! But it has been pretty fun just being together doing something exciting!

Handrail out side on front porch, sanding it down to repaint it.

I spent about two hours cleaning off that awful brown wallpaper crap. The pictures above are what it looked like before I took it all down, and they were taken when I was almost done with the room.
Walls washed, and yucky wallpaper gone! It looks so much better! Now what to do about the blue paint...I'm starting to hate blue. Hay Hay on the other hand would probably love our house.
The upstairs/master bathroom. We are pretty much tearing everything out of here and starting over.
The yucky tub. I forgot take after pictures when I cleaned it up. But honestly it doesn't look much better than this and I worked really hard on it.

This is the downstairs bathroom on the third level, back of the big family room. They had painted the wallpaper red...It's been pretty hard to remove, but most of it's gone we just have to get all the little peices off the wall. Iron Man was being weird and didn't want to smile for the picture.

So anyways, that's our cute little house! We are really looking forward to getting it done. Please come back often because I may need some help in deciding paint colors and decorating ideas! Hope you enjoyed!  -Little bee

Sooooooo TIRED.

I am at work right now, and the new system we have is currently not working. At least for me and what I have to work on at the moment. And because of this, my work is piling up and I am falling asleep at my desk.

I don't think its helping that I have my space heater right next to me and my little blanket Iron Man gave me for Christmas on my legs. Its so cozy I could just crawl under my desk and take a nap. Tempting. I don't know why I am so tired because I got plenty of sleep over the weekend, except last night because I was up until about 1:30 thinking about everything I have to get done this week. I could not shut my brain off!

I have so much to get done this week, the girls on my dad's side of the family get together once a year and do this basket exchange thing where each person has a name and then throughout the year we fill a basket full of things they like or need. I think this is the 9th year we have done it and it is so much fun! I am really looking forward to it. I however haven't even finished my basket for my cute little 12 year old cousin. But none the less I am almost there! Just a few more items to finish and pick up and I'll be done.

Also something on my mind preventing me from sleep last night, were all the things we have to get ready for our FHA inspection on our house so that we can get our loan going through. Yes, for those of you who don't know, me and Iron Man bought a house! It's so fun and exciting! But it's also going to be a lot of hard work. This past weekend we went in and cleaned up the yard a little and turned on the water and gas and got the inside half way ready for the inspection. We want to do and FHA loan because we can get a low down payment and a low monthy payment. I'm not sure what all this means exactly but my dad and Iron Man are being patient with me and all the questions I have. I will make sure and do another post this week with more pictures. But for now, this one will have to do. I am always looking for ideas to decorate with and me and Iron Man are on google getting ideas for paint colors, floors, appliances! So if you hear of any good deals or have any great ideas send them my way! Or if you need to get in some service and wanna stop by and help with any work that needs to be done, we won't complain ;).

Also going on this week is Stitch's birhday. I can't believe he will be 8 years old in 2 days! It's so weird to think my parents adopted him almost 7 years ago. Mom found some pictures of him last night from when he was a baby and I had never seen them. When she showed them to me it was so surreal to think about. We or at least I tend to forget that he hasn't always been with us. The first 18 months of his life were spent somewhere else with somone else. But I am so thankful that my mom listened to the spirit and that my dad was open to adoption. Stitch is so much fun to have in our family even though at times he can be a pain in the butt (hence the nick name)! Anyways, I am helping mom with the friend birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese this Friday night. We'll see how that goes. Well sorry for the long blog post, I better get back to work.
