Would you rather?

I am going to do a 'Would you rather' poll every Friday I will post a question on my side bar every Friday before 5pm and then I will close out the poll every Sunday at 5pm. Then Sunday night I will make a post about the results! I would rather....

Be at home in my PJ's. I am sitting here at work with not a whole lot going on. Pretty much all I have to do today is wait for a couple of students to come in and pick up their uniforms, book in some evidence, and return a few voicemails from yesterday, which I'm putting off because they are all from students who want to make an appointment to appeal their Parking BAN from campus and the earliest appointment I have is the first of May and usually they're not too happy to hear that and I get an earful about how unfair it is that they have to wait that long to get parking privileges back, even though meeting with the appeal committee does not guarantee they will get parking privileges back. Exciting day huh?
There are a million things I could be doing at home. Scrapbooking, finish reading Mockingjay (third book in The Hunger Games), sleeping, laundry, organizing oh boy do I have a lot of that to do!, and spending more time on my craft business. I wish I could figure out a way to get paid while doing these things at home. I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels this way.
To make matters worse all I can think of at work is my parents and two younger siblings leaving for St. George today for the rest of the week. It's Spring Break. I can picture them driving in the Denali. My dad on the phone most of the way still working, talking business. My mom probably reading her kindle or trying to find a happy medium between Skipper my almost 17 year old sister and Stitch my 9 year old brother (whom I'm sure are fighting over what movie to watch on the screen in the back seat). So rough - sometimes growing up sucks.
I do however look forward to the day that me and Tony can take our kids on fun filled adventures and spend time as a family. And I also look forward to being a stay at home mom where I may not get a paycheck but the rewards are far greater than any amount of money. Plus if I play my cards right I may just be able to come up with something from home to make some extra cash while staying home.
Anyways this blog post is getting quite boring. I shall go now. Wish me luck making it through the day and that I'll have enough time tonight after work, errands and the gym, to read my book or take some time to scrapbook.

Pillow Hunting

So Tony and I have been talking about getting new pillows for a while. I don't know about you, but we both have to have a good pillow to get sufficiant sleep. It's a very important part of getting a good nights rest. And Tony had been complaining for weeks about how flat his pillow was and it had to come to an end before one or both of us ended up killing each other because neither of us were well rested. The one's we've been sleeping on, we both brought with us when we moved into our humble abode 4 months ago that we've had since who knows when. Sunday night he had pretty much had it with his and was about to use it as a weapon in a pillow fight against who knows what/who (hoping it wasn't me because I hadn't bought us new pillows yet).

So the plan was to go hunting for new pillows after work Monday. We stopped by Shopko first because I had to get my glasses repaired, so we decided while waiting for those we would check out their fine selection of pillows and to our amazement they had what we thought were going to be the perfect pillows. I picked out a firm pillow that was 2 inches thick and semi fluffy and Tony picked out a much firmer pillow at 2.5 inches thick that looked like it was going to kink his neck after a few minutes of laying on it.

After walking around for about a half hour waiting for my glasses to be done, we happily went to the register to pay for our pillows so excited to get home and test them. That night we got into bed, after about a half hour we discovered we needed to take more time to hunt for a good pillow! Mine was flat within minutes and Tony switched back to his old pillow within an hour because he was already getting the kinked neck.

And these pillows weren't cheap by any means, we bought them on sale for $12 they were originally $25. So we were thinking we got a pretty good deal. So what have we learned when it comes to finding a good pillow?

*Go to more than one store

*Don't buy the first one's you find

*Go to stores that have a couch or bed where you can test them out (IKEA, RC Willey, Bed, Bath and Beyond, ect.)

*Spend a little more than expected even on sale

So we will be go out pillow hunting again...soon.

Birthday's

The month of January in our family is full of Birthday's. It goes as follows:

Jan 6 - Grandma Rose - Unfortunately one of the only pictures I have of my mother (taken on Hulk's baby blessing)... BEWARE mom... I will be watching for opportunities to get more photo's of you.

Jan 9 - Rosey: My little sister, turned 23. 

Jan 10 - The Twins: Our Niece and Nephew who turned 7! We went to Incredible pizza for their Birthday, This is a picture of them racing in the race cars with their parents. Incredible pizza was really fun and I totally recommend it! 

Jan 12, 13 - Wendy and C: Wendy - Tony's sister, C - Our Nephew who turned 9. Birthday's were on the 12th. Russ - brother-in-law (husband of Wendy) birthday on 13th. The family got together on a Sunday to celebrate these three birthday's. 

Jan 24 - Wendy 2's birthday and My Birthday, turned 27 and I feel like I'm getting old! I had a great birthday. The Friday before we went to Tucano's for dinner with our familie's. Then on Sunday we had dinner with his family to celebrate Wendy and I's birthday and we got spoiled. That night Tony begged me to open my present that he got me. I was so excited! I got The Gypsy. Then on my actual birthday, Monday we had dinner at my mom's where I got spoiled even more!

New Year's

For New Year's this year we didn't go anywhere. We decided we would stay home and just be together in our house and do a few things to get it more organized. On New Year's we had a few friends over for dinner, games and a movie. Here are a few pictures of our ugly sweater contest, betcha can't guess who the winner is...

Our first Christmas!

Here are some photo's of our first Christmas together...

This is a picture of us on Christmas Eve at my Grandpa's Annual Party. He made all the gifts he gave! We got a cute little Wooden Box. He wrote on the inside of it a special message for each one of us. All the grandkids got wooden guns or sling shots. And all of his kids (my parents, ect.) got mini rocking chairs for their grandkids and little rocking horses.
