Picking out a tree!

Last year (2010) was me and Tony's first Christmas married! It was perfect! The day after Christmas we went and picked out our very first real Christmas tree with his family.

So what should I make for dinner?

That's the question on my mind right now. We have very little food right now, because we haven't had any time to go to the grocery store. Tony picked up a few things last night to get us by for a few days. But I may have to stop by good ol' Macey's after work and grab a few things to make dinner with. I'm thinking maybe this...
Mexican Style Lasagna

Sounds pretty good, hopefully it will turn out looking just like that! LOL. Anyways, we got all moved in on Sat! YAY! So excited! It's been fun putting our little house together, sometimes stressfull not gonna lie. Here are some pictures of my kitchen the way it currently looks. We still have some work left to do on it, but it's just little things here and there. It will change once we get our island finished and we get a dining table to go in the dining room where parts of the island are currently sitting. I already have a list about a page long of things I still need to buy or get for the house. I've been making it while putting things away and finding places for all of our stuff to go. But little by little it's coming together!

I don't have any pictures of the rest of the house because we haven't really finished putting it together, plus I might not put any up because I think we will try and have an open house soon. But if we don't and you if you wanna see it call me!

Moving!

Well I'm excited to say that we should be moving in on Saturday! I am hoping everything goes smooth and we don't run into any complications! It shouldn't take us long since all we really have to move is moslty Tony's stuff and a few more things I have. It's very exciting, now I'm just crossing my fingers that nothing comes in the way of us moving in! Wish us luck!

We have....

A fridge, microwave and stove! Yay!! It's coming together! The fridge is the original that came with the house, we will save up and switch it out for an updated one. This one works fine for now, it's just ugly and doesn't even come close to matching our kitchen, but I'm just thankful we have one and don't have to spend the money right now to get one. The pictures were taken with my phone so they are not the greatest.

This wall used to be painted blue with like a green speck throughout the paint... ugliest paint I've ever seen. Plus they painted over wallpaper in pretty much the whole house and the cupboards were oak but were never taken care of or cleaned. So I tore off the wall paper and painted the wall brown and the doors to match our white cabinets, they are also the original cabinets, but because they were like a closet in the wall, it would have cost too much to tear out and put new ones in. Then we will put matching handles on the fronts when we pick them out for the rest of the cabinets.

Also our furnace, air conditioner and water heater decided to give up on life together one right after the other, I guess they couldn't live without one another. Tragic I know. The only good news with that is our water heater (which is the cheapest of the three) is still under warranty. So a few weeks ago we got the furnace and air conditioner fixed and replaced and now we are working on installing the water heater. Hopefully by Monday we will have hot water again! I guess it's a good thing we're not moved in yet. So we are still living at the parentals house until further notice...But it's all good and I'm thankful we have somewhere other than a cardboard box to live!

We sold the Decepticon (Tony's Cadillac CTS-V) and we bought a Toyota Tacoma. I think Tony is sad to see his Cadi leave but really excited to be driving a truck. Plus now we can go camping and four wheeling and haul stuff around without having to barrow or depend on someone else!

Well thats our update for now. Sorry I'm such a slacker at updating, but I've got a lot going on right now! Hope all is well with everyone else!

P.S.
I still don't have my wedding pictures back. So that's why there hasn't been a post on that yet. And Tony is still working on our Honeymoon video.

Can we move in yet?!

So it's been awhile! But I here is an update on the house...

The kitchen isn't completely done yet, but we're hoping to have it done within the next couple weeks! Here are some before and afters of what we've already done.

Master Bedroom before:

Master Bedroom after:

We took out a closet where our dresser now sits and our TV will go above the dresser, we haven't moved in yet so there is no bed, but I'll post more pics of it after we get moved in and a little more settled.

Bathroom Before:

Bathroom After:
(I LOVE IT)

I wish I had a better camera! But you get the idea. It's beautiful! Thanks to my Iron Man and everyone else who helped make it so!

Kitchen/Entry Before:

Kitchen/Entry as it is currently:
(It's almost done and again I will post pictures of when I get it moved in and settled)

My parents gave us the hardwood floor for our wedding. I'm so thankful to them for the awesome parents they are! I know it wasn't cheap and I'm excited to have a real floor. My dad hired his floor guy and he got it done in a week! It's so pretty! I love it! We also opened up the kitchen by tearing down a wall and putting double doors where the railing used to be. So the dining room is separate from the front room now. We haven't done anything to the front room yet, but we will probably just paint it and eventually replace the windows and the carpet down the road. Anyways, I'm really excited to get the kitchen done and I can't wait to move in! We are currently living with his parents in the basement. It's nice to have such great in-laws! I love them to death! But at the same time I can't wait to live in our house, we have all worked so hard on it!

Also these are some of our wedding gifts that haven't made it to the house yet because there is no where to put them!

And... One of our first home purchases! Iron Man is so excited! Can you tell?

PS... I will post wedding and cruise pics on another post when I get a chance and when I get my wedding pics back!
